The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 情节偏简单，小男主演技也青涩，老爷子精神矍铄

平心而论真的很“平淡无奇”，情节也是非常“俗不可耐”的一部片子，其中对于冲突的温柔简洁处理想来却算是对自己“力不从心”的一种别样阐述了，无论戏里戏外亦是如此。但再怎么说东木导演90多了还能坚持拍片，有这种精力也确实是令人敬佩的。
信手拈来的公路片，温情脉脉！不算经典，也水准以上！东木，保重，再来10年！

电影确实平淡了点，但质量已经不重要了，只要看到他还健康，活跃在荧幕前就足够了。看到他踏入墨西哥服装店的那一瞬，我以为他会换上那套经典的装扮，只是，那个牛仔终究没有回来。

感觉这个片子问题还挺多的，首先是除了东木和后来小镇的老板娘，剩余的演员表演痕迹实在太重；然后里面人物情绪的转折经常不make sensé （我说那个小男孩）；还有就是对于墨西哥人的stereotype，感觉拿着枪的黑帮各个像傻逼。故事不复杂，但完成得不是很好。后半部份的音乐还算加分。
91岁的东木，依然是西部牛仔，致敬！ 电影本身很平淡，温情片，but，这不重要…
