The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 本片被评论区诟病一些点，恰恰是我最喜欢的：不是每部电影都得剖析所谓人性的复杂，展现朴素的是非观不可以吗？对于女性来说，我们需要最直观的正义。
为什么设定是妹妹，不是女儿？在跟养父母对峙时，女主说，是我把她养大的？？？？？？？？？？？5岁？？？？？养大？？？？
不是无药可解，是没在全国激起真正的讨论，上层领导者没有真正重视起来。都只是在惋惜悲剧的发生，但却没有行动。

主创们们为自己国家发现问题探讨问题的态度是值得肯定的，但看得出来他们是真的没有才华，刻意造作的镜头，尴尬突兀的配乐，让整部电影洋溢着低级（国产）感。
如果印度的女性都能像奈娜这样勇敢、聪慧又无比坚定地对暴行进行反抗，片尾那个令人悚然一惊的数字可能会减少许多。哪怕暂时不能实现，至少，一个女性的抗议通过这样极端的方式表达出来了，这已经是一种进步。

似曾相识的赎罪剧情，换成大女主来演。关于社会对有前科者的包容度的探讨，此外也没什么了。桑德拉布洛克的演技值得一项提名。

立意是好的，社会问题有人去关注是对的，通过这种方式也是迫不得已的。但是现实中女主早就被击毙一万次了，总理更不可能亲自去见她，全篇只剩下空泛的主旋律意淫…
前有《杰伊·比姆》，现有《星期四》，印度电影敢于直击现实痛处这点真的令人叹服。虽然大致能猜出剧情的走向，但最后的反转确实出人意料，让人脊背发冷…片尾报纸的标题似乎更适合当电影名：A Thursday When India Woke Up。最后想借用未婚夫的话大喊一句：“Salute the people who deserve it”！
虽然警察降智，但是最后一切还挺合理。
