The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 听说其实终章要先看追忆，所以一直等着追忆出了才看，和原来OVA还是差了一些，但是因为都看过所以感情叠加起来还是有好些震撼。有些瑕疵，斋藤和剑心的少年感都欠缺，也可能是眼里少了少年的光而显得过于成熟了，雪代巴的成熟体现的也少了几分，只能说这是一部真正的漫改电影，足够尊重原作，但对于路人可能还是没有那么容易get到追忆篇原有的那种复杂感情和刻骨铭心。
纷乱如麻的时代背景下，权利和野心冠上“守护幸福”之名，两个人也好，一群人也好，不过是被利用的工具罢了。
有漫改和前传两大雷区，也亏得原作底子好，还有前作动作设计的成功经验，能有现在这部作品完美收官，真是双手鼓掌。这里的剑心和《皇家赌场》里的邦德真是同一个人，但还有（整个系列）历史和现代性的碰撞。所以，这其实个左翼青年逐渐转右的变形记。
看完唯一感想，还是去回看追忆篇吧~不过最后一段接了第一部的内容，真是恍如隔世，看着明显年轻一截的大家，莫名有些感动~

追至最后 感动依然，时代浪潮乱世中 蝼蚁般的众生又有几人可以 从心所欲 心无旁鹭 剑心 沈炼 李天然之辈皆是如此
剑心最悲伤故事。这部从前几作的15+变成18+，打斗少了，但是文戏部分差点看哭😢
今年看过最唯美的爱情片，画面绝美，张弛有度的节奏把握得很好，打斗部分利落畅快，缓慢抒情的部分也一点不觉得拖沓，情感层层递进水到渠成在无声中一起努力守护乱世中平淡而脆弱的幸福。终于看到一个主动去爱人的剑心，看到了剑心的温柔。最后巴在剑心脸上刻下刀痕的一幕感人至深，“就算你手中有刀，我也不会伤害你，我唯一不会伤害的人就是你”
雪地场景拍得太美了😭😭😭 等我找个时间从第一部开始从头再看一遍
即使抱着很高的期待值去看，也不会很失望。冷色调营造的时代沧桑感，系列最写实和最冷峻的血腥场景，还有“一切尽在不言中”的眉目传情，都让本作成为了完成度最高的漫改（没有之一）。也许作为动作电影，剧情逻辑细推还有不少问题（反派嘴遁不下死手太经典了），但是作为爱情片，已经足够浪漫了。
逆刃前时代剑心，高马尾，血雨腥风，又浪又野，凄美的BE美学。
之前知道是什么故事了，觉得很拖沓拧巴，剑心，巴都是这样，束手束脚一点不干脆，剑心之前应该是个杀伐果断的人，有了十字疤后开始蜕变，没想到片子里呈现的依然优柔寡断，而且面瘫寡言
更纯粹的剑戟片
拍摄时间关系，角色反而显得比之前的正片“老”一些，尤其是斋藤桑ww虽难以达到动画版的高峰倒也算还原了八成味道。有村妹纸刚出场时有点大饼脸让人捏了一把汗好在后面渐渐有了点巴姐姐的神韵。追了10年的真人版系列整体要给个大赞，可算为数不多的还原原著的真人版电影了，尤其是砂糖。

剑戟片打斗做的还蛮好的（比上一部好）但还是没法接受佐藤健老师肺痨病人一样的演出……
先看追忆再看最终章，整个情绪更顺，虽然是大家最爱的一个篇章，个人不是很喜欢，就挺普通的，甚至有点过誉。特别是一群评论在说太虐了太刀了，大可不必….
有村架纯少了些凄冷清雅，有些地方看得有点尬，但最重要的那场挡刀戏份完成得很好，但我的惊艳情怀全给《人诛篇》了，应该先拍追忆再拍人诛。。。。
