The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 2021-09-21想看：总觉得又是大烂片，但还是为了马丽期待一下吧 11有用 2022-04-05看完：网站终于放片了，晚上边嗦螺蛳粉边看的。马丽和魏翔非常需要减肥，脸圆圆/方方的上镜真的很丑很没气场，观众缘减半。魏翔仪态很不好，显得角色又傻又猥琐。没看过原片，但看得出原剧本挺好的。仅有的几个笑点都是在马丽身上，不过真的很好笑。特效太假，磨皮不到位，有些台词很尬，小弟们特意扮丑的垃圾笑点，魏翔的表演我个人觉得过于浮夸和油腻，黄才伦和马丽还可以更好。中间有一段台词还是后配的，此处删掉一句话，无语。含腾量为零、没有屎屁尿和过分煽情还是有进步的。希望开心麻花拍出更用心的作品。
四星鼓励一下，在影院笑得花枝乱颤，改编自三谷幸喜的《魔幻时刻》，前面改得有模有样渐入佳境，可惜越往后节奏就失控了，结尾瞎改得厉害了（话说原作里有反派阴谋得逞黑帮老大死而复生的桥段么？），嗯，一会是《雨中曲》一会是《天才白痴梦》，外加《喜剧之王》小龙套做明星梦的梗，这纯粹是开心麻花编导们不停自嗨yy的结果……对比日中两版，一个是情怀，一个是滥情；一个是有趣，一个是肉麻。尽管如此还是得夸一下，毕竟这是近年来国产翻拍片里的良心之作，魏翔马丽的表演都很走心，把卡尔的小名说成“卡”也真有才，属于春节档合家欢的首选之作（高票房也不是没理由的），如果想要放松心情博君一笑还是挺不错的选择哦。
能看，但对我来说很一般，可能笑点高？没有戳到我的笑点，全场很多人笑（咋说呢，其实之前羞羞的铁拳电影院全场爆笑时，我也是没觉得多好笑的）打发时间可以
处处透着外行的廉价。如果男主角真的是一个沉浸式的演员，是不会因为枪太重而把它从箱子里拿出来，说后期做特效这种话的，也不会忘了所有的戏都是one take，这个人设根本没立住。
看魏成功表演感觉像是在拆盲盒，你永远不知道他能给你带来什么惊喜
差点睡着了，，居然有这么无聊，这么尬的电影。。
我自己对搞笑有点期待，不过也没达到预期。三星给一些表演，话剧的效果应该会更好。
人生如戏，戏如人生
剧情比较简单，笑点也很浅，整个氛围像是在车墩大片场拍了个情景剧，剧本杀，类比像是《扬名立万》。挺适合春节档大家一起乐呵乐呵的，很有商业属性的喜剧片。

说比原版好看的是不是疯了啊…………背景的架空，场景的虚浮，演技的不存在，让整个戏都非常不真实，没有一点人味
魏翔终于要演男一号了，喜闻乐见！电影比不上原版，但魏翔表现不错。

一个老实本分兢兢业业的龙套演员被骗入局，阴差阳错的扮演了一个杀手，利用戏中戏与身份错位制造笑料，在此之上魏翔的精彩表演让笑果逐步升级，让观众觉得极其离谱的同时又觉得十分靠谱。魏成功就是“未成功”，这不仅是开心麻花谐音梗老手艺，现实里42岁的魏翔如电影里一般直到《这个杀手不太冷静》才真正拿到第一个男主角，数十年的沉淀，是喜剧人的坚持，戏里那些夸张表演突然就有了着落，而这份悲情色彩像极了《喜剧之王》。电影的另一乐趣自然是无处不在的迷影情怀，无论是《低俗小说》《教父》《赌神》等经典形象的模仿，或者是《黄金三镖客》、李小龙的经典海报，又或者是《雨中曲》的再次吟唱，甚至连插曲都是许冠杰的《天才白痴梦》……如果能放下设定过于荒唐的执念，或许能沉浸在电影造梦的狂欢中。
即便结尾转成电影拍摄场景也依旧掩盖不了小品式的表演与拍摄风格，但即便如此，在小品日渐拉垮的春节档能带来不尴尬的欢笑已经实属不易了。
经典的致敬和故事的底色真的很难让人相信是开心麻花做出来的（后来才知道算翻拍？），确实可以说精彩也有那么点悲凉，如果口碑爆了也能理解的那种。男主太丑了，温情的我很难代入，虽然部分我时常会想起周星驰的电影，但我寻思着周星驰都是帅的啊！！！电影真的是有门槛的，不好看的……就真的费劲不容易招人喜欢。而观众缘又不近取决于颜值演技，是玄学（实话）
就很好笑啊，真情实感的好笑，仔细看，还会发现魏翔的肢体表演有点在学许冠文，同样也是圆脸演员，还有一点就是，现在内地电影煽情只能靠粤语金曲了。。
黑帮太儿戏了吧，没头没尾，还是有点小品的赶脚…
这个和原作也太像了，我在想当男主演男主时候感动哭了演的时候一定特有感触吧
不论主配，每个演员都演的挺好的，眼神微表情都是戏，增加不少喜感。
