The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 一代人都老去了。真嗣终于长成一个普普通通的大人了。
虽然最后有点肉麻，但看下来还是意犹未尽。四幕戏中最喜欢第二幕，丽的自我觉醒和帮助真嗣走出自闭。四部剧场版最精彩当然还是《破》，最后一部能把中二风满满的第三部圆回来，也很完整了。
与TV版结局同义，但当时因为种种原因只能采用抽象而简略的表达方式。
7.0 存在的思考有了活在当下的结局确实是一种和解与共融释放，虽说期待一种更为之绚丽的决绝，但真的不能破灭理想主义的望德！
庵野秀明是真正的视觉艺术家，不仅在于他通过分镜/蒙太奇对神经的精确打击，或是让灾难奇观的巨大残骸成为日常生活高耸的背景，也在于他对影像（梦幻）自反的强调，比如“棚内”打戏。他的失败也是艺术家式的，25年前“补完”的心理冲击，已成为后泡沫时代的纪念碑，却仍然被召回，作为当下的安慰。
我讨厌充满这种人的世界
过了这三十年，换个角度来重写结局，反而有种豁然开朗的感觉。不再停滞在青春里，也不再迷惘。

EVA对于痞子来说一直是个噩梦和美梦的结合体，尽管新剧场完全和老TV不是一个东西，但自私的我还是喜欢有意无意地进行比对。“终”可以说是对这四部曲的完美谢幕与落点，但我其实品到了很多疲惫与不堪。
最后还是不争气的看哭了。EVA陪伴了我太长的时间，对于我来说是一部很特别的作品，所以在完结的时候，实在是很难表达出自己的情绪。一直觉得EVA的底色是灰暗的，因为里面描写了逃避，孤独，渴望认可，想要接纳的心理状态，学生时代看的时候也曾代入共情过，还好最终话的基调是欢快明亮的，一直拒绝成长的真嗣最后还是长大了。
