The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 在身体改造方面极具艺术性。未来，器官毫无存在的必要，只会滋生细菌，后患无穷。人类与人工合二为一，在保证了生存的同时，突破身体的极限也成为了艺术表达的强有力方式之一。通过米开朗基罗式的重塑，人类探索了更多元的生存可能性。可是所呈现出来的效果过于平淡，不尽人意，最有冲击力的段落竟只是耳朵人跳舞。跟同样讲述突破身体机能的《钛》比起来几乎不是一个量级的，差距有点大。
跟《钛》一样的大受震撼系列。Creepy.

概念和内涵过于分离，而有些情节又挺俗套的；道具真的满分了
相当超前的概念，身体和意识到底谁是主宰，科技的进步是否会带来人体自身的进化，人类未来到底会走向何种形态。不愧是柯南伯格的拿手好戏，把身体恐惧做得甚至在某种意义上来说非常吸引人。台词里充斥着文化研究的各种术语和概念，甚至感觉自己在看国外的专业教科书。还有一个让人难以忘怀的细节，但闻其声不见其面的苍蝇。

形而上的美，是电影艺术的终点，也是电影艺术的原罪。先导海报里被圣光沐浴的黑袍维果总让人联想以为这将是《此房是我造》的续篇，即便看完以后确信柯南伯格已将所有的灵魂倾注此片，也很难停止脑补若是疯蹄来拍如此的题材，那又将是怎样更严肃的落笔，更味如嚼蜡阅读论文般的观影体验 w/阳

比预期要好很多，身体恐怖和循环嵌套的虚实结合，确实有卖弄结构和符号之嫌，但是有启发
