A brilliant and outragously funny satire of society, 7 December 1999

"Flodder" is one of the funniest movies ever made and few people realise that it is a Dutch movie made by none other than the Holland version of John Carpenter, the famous Dick Maas, author and director of the thriller "Amsterdamned". The Flodder family is the reincarnation of the term a-social. When the whole family bunch, basically all bastards, criminals and sluts must be relocated from their City slum because of toxic waste under their house, the city council house no choice. The only available space is in the "Zoendal" - the "Sun Valley" the best area in Amsterdam where all doctors, snobs and businessmen can afford to live their lives. And where the central point of interest and politics is the tennis club of the community. The Flodder family brings devastation to the tranquil world that ruled before. They are simply unbelievable. The characterisation is incredibly funny, beginning with Ma Flodder who searches other people's trash cans for food or making illegal liquor in her cellar and ending with the eldest daughter who is the biggest slut on earth. Together they make the most horrible family imaginable, a sort of immoral mirror image to the Brady Bunch or the Waltons. When the City counsel of Amsterdam hoped that the Flodders would show their good will to be more civilised in their new area, it turns out that Holland's most famous family would rather bring out the worst in the rich people of "Sun Valley"-wonderland. The rest is a hilarious, brilliant and well made social satire that can be watched as a provocative movie as well as a straightforward comedy. Dick Maas at his best. I salute him! Flooder was the Dutch smash hit in 1986 and brought two sequels and a tv series. All of the sequels were nice but not as great as the original.

Why is First Floor Features, the producer of the movie not bringing the Dick Maas blockbusters out on DVD in the Netherlands, I wonder. The are not even available on video there. These movies have so much potential, still to this day and have a huge silent but true following.

【6分】我理解林曼威的热情，但我感受不到。打动我的是真实的Jonathan本人，而非电影里呈现出来的角色。明明是很好的素材，但讲述的角度和方式都太一般了。作为音乐电影，音乐不出彩真的是致命问题，全片听下来，居然只有Bohemia一曲足够优秀。旋律和剧情的割裂感太强了，无法带动情绪。冗余的信息太多，真的没必要每隔20分钟就强调一次running out of time，台词多且尴尬，总感觉不像在看电影，像在看一个神经质的林曼威本人碎碎念。传记电影的通病依旧适用：配角们真的都是“配合”的存在，但在本片中，蜻蜓点水般的人物刻画甚至不能起到起码的突出主角作用。能感觉到加菲有在很努力地突破自己，但最终的表演效果也就是无功无过。真要和La La Land对比，那绝对是被吊打的程度。
开始会想是不是音乐剧电影和歌舞片之间有壁（也许音乐剧在形式上会部分压制电影的视听表现），后来觉得还是不该让个体影响对整体的判断，纯粹还是因为片子本身乏善可陈。坚持追梦的故事每天都在上演，关键是讲述的方式以及它所触及的本质。可能最致命的还是加菲的表演吧，用力过猛但又自矜自傲的状态实在让人腻烦。
超级被打动，创作人被看见之前漫长的孤独疲惫和那份拼命与之撕扯的热爱太让人动容了。在这个已经长久被不安与焦虑笼罩的时代，在这个充满漂泊感与随时感到有可能被放弃的时间点，人类的热情与希望很需要一些被唤醒的时刻，感谢天才与艺术。很可惜的一件事是听不到小声喧哗聊聊这部电影了。
工作日的下午一个人包场看的，全场在想以后可能都是得看满屏皱纹了。I cant hear myself dying..
我的二小姐戏份有点少，但是依然不妨碍我对它的滤镜。其次，真的很喜欢唐顿的服化道。从婚礼到葬礼，一个时代结束了。

故事有质感，但歌曲整体而言稍逊了一筹。这个和Rent给我的观感是大致一样的。就这部电影而言，另一个问题在于，最好听的歌和最重要的几场戏，没能搭配起来。当然要解决这个问题，已经超出了电影创作者的能力范畴了。除此之外，都还算不错。
“用爱发电意难平”，创作大概率是这个世界上性价比最低的事情。没有所谓的一分耕耘一分收获。你以为创新是魅力四射的事情——但其实人们，或是说商业眼光，从来比你想象中要守旧传统。
孙女是不是《神奇动物在哪里》的女主角？
用剧作者自己的音乐剧来拍音乐剧传记片实在是再适合不过了。Jonathan的天赋是无可比拟的，他的悲剧为Rent更是蒙上一丝传奇色彩。加菲的表演有功无过，尽管唱功跟专业歌手比还是差了点。影片里能看到不少之后Rent的影子，比如What You Own，La Vie Bohème等等。对Sunday in the Park with George的致敬也很妙，还有很多惊喜客串（林漫威，Hadestown里饰演Hermes的André De Shields，Hamilton饰演大姐二姐的Renée Elise Goldsberry和Phillipa Soo，还有Helen Mirren）。整体而言十分动人，旁边的观众几度都要落泪了。
音乐真的很棒，然而搞艺术其实跟做学术也很类似，你要写了一部（篇）又一部（篇），也不知道哪天可以成功……

近年来为数不多的好歌舞片之一 加菲卖力卖唱 LMM delivers a stellar show (okay I do wonder how much breaking the fourth wall with musical numbers makes this piece less of a film)
bravo！21年年度十佳影片！影片展现出一个完全不同的加菲，通过双重视角，台上音乐剧式的内心独白和台下舞台剧式的人物发展，演化出一种独特但精准的视觉语言，拉森原作的配乐更是加分。90年代特有的对同性恋和艾滋的病态政治凝视在当今视角下看来更加讽刺。第三幕的钢琴独唱极为感人，相信一定是颁奖季的大热门！
加菲的影帝提名作。每年都会出一两部音乐片，但我不太感冒
音乐上还行吧，又一个lalaland，但是文本上太标准太规整了。。。不如多看几遍白先勇的《纽约客》。说是献给纽约打工人创作者的情书但是真在纽约的打工人创作者觉得好像是批发的甜话小集合。创作没那么高贵。全片最动人的角色竟然是mike就很那个了。。想把我写的地铁和打工段子贡献给LMM。
创作者大概是最不能平衡工作和生活的吧。整个人好像分裂成两个，一个还在惯性关心着亲友，一个已经游离出去在想怎么把这个素材好好用起来。又焦虑又冷漠。但是没办法，对于有天赋的人来说，没有什么比创作更重要。最极致的痛苦和甜蜜都因创作产生。唯一美中不足的是加菲唱的一般。/《Superbia》那段几个歌手应该是专业的，Sextet Montage那段那个卷发女生唱得好好！另外力荐《Rent》好吗，有机会看的都去看！
炎夏酷暑吹空调看唐顿，没有比这再清凉的事了
