The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 性少数群体也想做一个有幸福家庭的普通人，世界是有摩擦力的而不是理想状态的，大多数总是会对少数有着恶意不解和攻击，盼望每个人都在不断前进成长不再迷茫，男主演技有些不好。
不知道自由是什么，反正需要付出一切，也许还不一定能得到。

能提供一些之前没有过的思考视角，比如我们谈起同性恋，是否也是仅将他们看作事不关己的“角色”？不愿接受身边人的不一样，是否是不肯接受世界的复杂性？他竖起墙不是保护自己，是为了让你们的世界看上去更简单。
是一场相互救赎吗？应该是一场最终的互相理解吧。

释放曼德拉是男主灵机一动，绝境之中的提议，彰显了历史的随机偶然性。

黑人反抗力量在策划暴力活动中被发现，情急之下逃进银行，并劫持了一群人质，后面就落入了俗套。虽想融入种族冲突的大背景，但不太成功。
黑人为了自由，为了自身不被种族歧视而抗争之路，在有白人的世界一直那么艰难。这部影片也拍的很真实，充满了人性的张力。《误杀2》似乎和这个真实的故事很有相似。
