The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 舞台杀人计划的高潮那一段还是拍得不错的。结局还是太温和，编剧下不了狠手导致中途半端的感觉。
揣摩和想象一种挣扎、无爱而又无从前进的生活状态，并非是深入骨髓的痛，也非互相控诉就能缓解的茅塞顿开；靠灵修、靠宠物、靠酒精，却终不能自愈。最开始为极少文本的行进感到无奈，但看到夫妻俩双双戴着口罩，足以想起疫情之下那些因为“听说”而知晓的周遭被困于其中的伴侣状态”，就豁然明朗于它的表达。有些可惜的是小三那场戏，在这里被作为一个提醒着收尾的“高潮”，却多少因为太戏剧冲散前面所有仔细铺垫的“内感”；能换个方式，或许有更多余味。

最最驚訝的是片中看到昱呈結婚，隔沒多久他就真的在臉書公佈結婚，人生。

虽然按类型片分类，这是一部不折不扣的喜剧片，但这部充斥着怪诞情节设置和黑色幽默的影片，绝不仅仅是想逗观众笑笑而已。在邪恶的外壳里，装的是洗心革面的勇气，配上幽默的语言，在洗脑和反洗脑中循环挣扎，弱小也好、强大也罢，当你一切释然，跳出固定的局限，也可以实现不可思议的转换。
陈以文的片子里好巧不巧地又出现了有关驾照的台词，不知道是不是已经成为湾湾电影圈的一个梗。片中陈以文说“驾照还没发回来”。
内容密度充其量是个短片。神神叨叨，不知所谓。

被普及了一下从没听过的心理疾病，电影本身一般。
刺骨般的真实。那些不动声色的撇嘴与皱眉，那些无动于衷，轻轻一吹满屋子都是婚姻的骨灰。
原本以为只是挂着“小众性癖”的痴汉系喜剧，但情节演进的过程恰恰是通过不断放出烟雾弹逐步推翻荒诞“告白”基调，从而落实“被谋杀”计划的过程，欲望的确实性得以正视。
还以为是在杭州拍的，最后片尾都在致谢大连
