剧情介绍

The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances.     210424@ sfm：这剧本太八面玲珑的吧，庭审戏也很爽。半年庭审前因后果俩小时完成不乏味。看的时候忍不住想这两年隔岸看到的新闻、那部不能说的提名纪录片和现在正在进行的审判。就算能理解历史总会翻页，但身处其中的人呢？Abbie Hoffman角色设定太高光了。

    开篇一段剪辑凌厉，不了解这段历史的观众需自行查阅补充背景，中间利用庭审来逐段还原事件的真面目，但索金的意图明显不是深挖而是借古喻今。前半段法庭戏好似疲于奔命的美剧，后半段金句频出，可惜全都是浮于表面的论述，大概索金还是驾驭不了如此宏大的叙事。只能说今时今日回顾这段历史的意义肯定大于索金拍出来的意义。
