The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 法国小清新，剧情略微狗血，大量镜头致敬候麦，似乎也只有在巴黎，这样的故事才有土壤。
「4.0」穿插着画幅变换的复古影像，一股温柔气息发酵，在柔光镜中，在巴黎夜景模糊的光点中，在具有颗粒感的画面中。故事如清水般，但有着理想化的浪漫。甘斯布这次的中年妈妈角色也是可爱极了。
