Arkham, 1975: Jonathan Davis' father has disappeared. His tracks lead to Germany, to the Swabian-Franconian Forest where he was stationed after the Second World War. brutashell review - 'Filmed in black and white and primarily spoken in German, it is obvious that Die Farbe did not have a huge budget to work with. Effects are minimal and the cast is utterly unknown. I should point out that these are all good things, and work very much in the film's favour. There is no CGI to rely on, no name actors to carry it. Rather, the filmmakers do the unthinkable: they create a genuine atmosphere of unimaginable dread and unspeakable horror, using shadow, suggestion and rare splashes of that Nameless colour in a few select frames. In short, they did a damn good job. Die Farbe is subtle in its mounting horror, nurturing a dark dread deep in your bowels with every shot. All of the best and most stomach-turningly distressing films I’ve ever seen have come out of Germany: M, The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari, The White Ribbon, and now this one. Leave it to the Germans. We know how to gross you out on the deepest psychological levels.
Lovecraft worshippers and devotees of German Expressionism alike, take heed: seek out and view this film at your earliest possible convenience. It’s a dark, noisome little gem that will squirm into your subconscious and lay its eggs in your sanity. Hey, not everyone gets the honour of being a host organism for the Elder Gods, you know.'

为什么要安排一场交通意外来划上狗血的情节啊？最后父女与母女的对话很戳泪点。遗忘真的很可怕。
这是套皮的艺术片文艺片，抱着看恐怖片的还是别看了，否则会和我一样有极大的失落，尽管片子从其他角度来说还不错
年轻人阿兹海默比老人痛苦的时间更久，但是电影拍的…观影也蛮痛苦的。
这能叫电影？不就是拼凑的乐色吗，我就不信有人不快进能看完这东西
我能品尝到美，但却不让我喜欢。这故事可以有一百种写法，恐怖主题不是它的归宿。

女巫作为女性公然被迫害的历史缩影，这次不再是恐怖片反派去滥杀无辜，而是作为女性出发的觉醒和感悟。有点像《生命之树》和《奥兰朵》，整体来说是稳的
独白有种在看日本电影的感觉。不同方式去体验生命。
可能会是年度十佳。与其说像马利克（如果他能拍成这样子我会爱他），不如说更像前几年那部外出偷马混合鬼魅浮生，镜头极致诗意的拍一个关于轮回和时间更迭的故事，这真的很美又真的很惆怅。

挺好的，就是镜头晃得难受。以及完全不能以看故事片的逻辑来看。
“人不能因为毫无负担地出生就能毫无代价地成长或死去，每一个瞬间都是在欠债和还债。”出生不能被选择，我们只能选择每一个当下如何去过。是啊，谁又能知道自己在命运中会抽中哪张牌面呢
7.2分。文艺片的节奏一开始看真的昏昏欲睡，然而后来越看越有味道，属实是个好故事。
奇幻与惊悚只是一层皮囊，而所谓“女巫”代表的更是一种生命形状。诗歌一般的monologue贯穿了整个电影，也如同spell一样让spectator从不同的侧面去感受所谓存在与延续的意义。除了女巫起源“非我族类”的故事相对老套，以及motherhood的前后呼应有点pretentious，电影的质感与情绪都把握的很好。Witch只是一个过程，不是一种状态，我们从无数微小的瞬间中去感受命运的重量，而大千世界就这样铺陈开来。
节奏缓慢，肮脏又干净的环境，野蛮又细腻的成长，所有的肌理都包含盎然的生命力。
