The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 既勇敢又脆弱，既强硬又温柔，既自由又孤独，既眷恋又希冀。
两个字：自然。影片的主要元素很美国，房车、公路、营地、流浪等等。但和那些为了反叛或逃避的文青式“在路上”不同，主角的流浪很自然，这就是她的生活本身，尽管她有她的落魄和孤独，但并不可怜。正如她和小女孩说的，她是houseless，而不是homeless
坚定自己要走的路，别总患得患失，仅此而已。
片子拍的克制，情绪在风景与眼神间流转，孤独又浪漫。
明天是第一天 也是最后一天
麦姨已经出神入化了，这里根本分不出哪个是演员，哪个是真的游牧一族。最后黑幕起，“献给不得不上路的人，我们路上再见”，全剧的克制都在这两句话释放，戳中泪点。哪有那么多的浪漫，很多时候上路都是不得已的。不管是生活所迫还是为了疗愈内心，终究还是要活下去啊。

其实本质上，关注和表达视角挺中国人的。想起了当初进藏路上的一些驴友们，还有朋友圈的“职业旅行者”。在路上，对有些人是体验人生的一种方式和一个阶段，对有些人则是内心疗愈的不能停止的精神药剂。
4.对新自由的欲望的追求
被过去束缚着不能停下，貌似自由的在路上。路上的人们都很可爱，有点过于诗和远方了。
