一出主题模糊的庭辩题材电影硬是拍成了一出闹剧。玩归玩闹归闹，这么多年下来，反倒只有喧闹的legal high展示出了庭辩策略。

美国这类真实事件改编的电影跟非虚构文学一样，细节考究，但是太冗长，看得缺乏代入感。然而豆瓣用户就喜欢给这种电影打高分，其实是给“民主”打高分。
艾伦索金的剧作技术太恐怖了，但私以为这部片子应该在此基础上有更精致深沉的影像设计以及一个更独道的导演灵魂。

A great musical telling an inspiring true story in an exhilarating fashion that celebrates decency and kindness!
没有吸引到我，感觉拍的太正了，剪辑也很令人厌烦，同样题材同种手法的美国电影太多了，没新意。
听过艾伦·索金的编剧工坊，脑子快于嘴，经常卡壳。写剧本就不一样了，可以一泻千里，畅快淋漓，哒哒哒机关枪扫射状，风格自成一派，后世学徒很难上手，门槛极高。
爸，警察打你怎么办？警察怎么会打我呢？我和平、守法而有礼貌。结果，哈哈。1968 Chicago; 2019⋯⋯。
说实话，初看这部电影，并没有太多共鸣，因为不了解那段历史背景。对于真实历史事件改编的电影，最大的收获是其介绍了一段不为大多数人所熟知的历史，它会促使我们去探索历史的真相。在查阅了维基百科之后，了解到这个事件和1968年相当广泛的一系列民主活动有深刻的联系。
索金写本子的时候都没想到这部会有多应景吧。有几段游行者和警察对峙戏的背景音乐热血得像台湾青春电影。以及，雀斑又一次演了街垒旁的schoolboy。
导演（也是编剧）再一次展示了深厚的台词功底
对白如子弹，剪辑如利刃，索金不给与观众任何喘息的机会，切莫松懈与退缩。电影收纳这场过去的伟大战斗，又在今天将其精神重释于世间，这是带有革命诉求的左翼运动纽带。举起坚定的拳头，无论那时还是此刻，我们都格外需要和迫切。“全世界都在看”，牺牲不会白费，敌人不会长久，请坚信。
相比之下，这一部反而不太能共情，没有有力地回应政治正确的疑问，而是不假思索地用过去来为现在鼓与呼，真是这么线性的历史过程？年轻人的激情求变，被结构化之后，恐怕远比这个曲折缠绕，结尾字幕说明了这一点。
