The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 导演很会拍温暖动情的故事，Joaquin Phoenix自带艺术气质，演绎这个角色也是信手拈来，但整体感受还是一般了，缺乏亮点。
4.0。同樣存在大量以被採訪者形式出現的人物群像，卻是從頭至尾都比《無依之地》更為真摯的敘述。這種真摯無關階級身份，而是對於每個人脆弱一面的揭示和留存。
Your typical nice looking, "heart warming" A24 flick...unrealistically precocious kid paired with confused middle-aged man and through turbulence and conflicts they gradually learn from each other and cherish the experience forever --- I have seen this one many times before. The "it's okay to yell, and then yelling out loud" scene in particular is soooo much of a cliche. Cinematography is alright but not really impressive, watching this back to back with Red Rocket the difference is so obvious (ok B&W is at disadvantage but still).The interview bits aren't integrated organically into the story, and it feels like the feel-good, "heartfelt" material got mixed in just for audience appeal.

與短篇前作《I Am Easy To Find》的創作方向相近，戲中訪問部份更可呼應導演紀錄片舊作《Paperboys》，或可溫暖人心的簡單創作。印象中這是Joaquin Phoenix 第一次在銀幕上成為「爸爸」角色，演過充滿戾氣《Joker》之後，擔起這Part-time 爸爸角色，與Woody Norman的對手戲令他氣質也變得不一樣，是的，電影大多時候依靠Joaquin 和Woody之間對話進行，錄音和姊姊找老公都是其次，Joaquin 和Woody 正是上演一場疫情後的《Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance:》，關於生命中的不安，如何面對、如何抉擇、說這是通俗化（雖然他的形式上接近Essay Film)《The Human Voice》也無不可，借由聲音讓自己和世界連結。喜歡其中一段話（大約）「fuck the word ，you can yelling, you can angry, Actually, you can be dissatisfied with the world。」
很现代的影像风格和剪辑，却讲了一个传统的家庭的故事。叔叔在照顾侄子时完成与母亲、妹妹的和解，喜欢声音采访这个设定，将「聆听」这一关键词自然而然地结合起来。凤凰叔的表演一如即往的稳定。
可孩子不是这样的。每个群体都不是这样的。抹平个体差异展现某种群貌也罢，但为了达成特定目的而去预设一个结果，预设他们的面貌，不就是把他们当做表达的工具吗？

在法国上映后的第一个周末去看，结果我和朋友包场！难道法国人民不爱看柯南？
对导演的上一部初学者留下了十分美好的印象，这种感觉没有完全延续进新作。
近十年最好看的柯南剧场版！（主要是因为近十年的都太拉了）单独打分的话可能也就三星左右，但放在柯南剧场版里那就是妥妥的四星www
啊，小男孩演得好棒啊！好温暖却很平常的生活琐碎。
看到第一个黑白镜头的城市风光眼睛就湿了也不知道是为什么 一直在抹眼泪 Mike Mills 的电影都好温柔哦 / 另外这似乎是第一次被 Joaquin 的表演折服
好久没有在电影院看剧场版了 开心 这部的柯南又靠这自己的装备 守护了世界呢 想去涩谷参加万圣节巡游
依旧是能让牛顿敲棺材板的动作片 柯南讲俄语 警官说八嘎呀路 还有好几处 空气中充满欢快的笑声 但最后追忆起逝去的同志 竟然还有些泪目 结束时往外走听到人说上次好看的还是漆黑的追迹者 想想也已经是快十年前了 不过靠情怀支撑也已足矣
