The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 曾经买了票却因为疫情取消的巡演；小成本制作的最佳效果；一群人演一群人、每个人都是主角、所有的“自己”都是“别人”……令人惊喜的新形式，甚至还歪打正着地蕴含了某种深度，不禁让人感叹，剧场到底还能玩出多少新花样？缺点是三观过正、略显说教……非常怀念音乐剧现场——911事件二十周年纪念日看“官摄版”

我想在global pandemia面前这部剧的意义无需多言，在这个时间点放出官摄我哭到时代广场都有回声。
西方敏感题材，个人实在无法一样地共情，只能说确实月圆，或许上海能做的更好，西安肯定不行。
除此之外，剧本本身对911事件给美国社会心理带来的各方面影响的刻画也是相对比较到位的。

官摄远远无法体现现场的魅力与观众视角的震撼 但弥补了所有的遗憾
铁幕搅动的半个世纪的疯狂历史，无解。
转场令人映像深刻，但是可能事件太遥远，没办法引起共鸣
布景简单，演员也只是这几个人变换角色，但是我爱rock town！
世界不是孤立的，人类的悲欢可以共鸣，穆斯林是要被搜身的…

如果没有疫情 去年的这个时候 我已经坐在文广 在现场成为了一名纽芬兰人
第一次主动看音乐剧，我还不太会欣赏。将近两个小时的表演，从头到尾专注的看完，同时又要准确的理解其剧情，含义还是很有难度的。找时间再来追第二遍吧。整个情节十分流畅，人物剧情也很生动且活泼，就是美式幽默我还get不到。看来9.11将是美国无法抹去的哀伤。
剧本和音乐都好棒！一个很沉重的题材却一直通过场景转换来减轻大家的悲伤…加上个人的故事和小镇居民的爱心，最后看到眼睛湿润…
