The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 前面看着还行，后面我就不知道到底想表达啥了。
有道是，有人的地方就有江湖，只剩一片残阳…
其实是个很有意思的设定，一个善良的、心软的、认真爱很多人的中年男人混迹黑道求温饱的故事。一开始觉得郑宇演得太过用力了，越看又越觉得正是他的用力，把这个男人所有软弱犹豫踌躇全都表现出来了，不愧是影帝提名嗷！可惜后半段过于啰嗦了导致片子整体质量不佳，三星半吧，半星加给垃圾哥。
作为导演的第一部电影其实不差，叙事配乐还可以，镜头调度怪怪的，郑宇演技很亮眼~

讲真我觉得没有那么差，在我心里比毒液强[允悲] 因为我真的觉得毒液太贫太吵了，而这部其实就是特效做得差了些，特别是少爷那么美的面容不断给他毁容，让人觉得遗憾。
感觉最后母亲看到那个鸟完全变成了女儿的模样，第一反应居然是失而复得？她难过或许只是因为自己多年栽培的心血付诸东流，只要现在又有一个女儿，其实也是一样的。真是畸形的家庭。
在USC提前观影，有意思的母女反目戏！特效声效和道具满分！
