The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 克制的流浪长诗，既不过分悲戚又不过度赞美，对失去和放下的探讨其实和《蓝》的自由母题接近。略有遗憾的是未能把时代背景下个人精神的强迫流浪表现更充分。换句话说，所谓"自由"也不是纯粹的个人选择更是对后工业资本主义的拒斥与背叛，能更有现实批判力度。但一个中国籍导演能拍出如此美国的作品，还有麦姨的演技，真的厉害
公路片大多是讲旅途见闻和治愈的，这部电影却以孤独为题，离群索居是因为伤痛，浓的化不开。
印象最深的就是那句，如果你要了解当地的生活，就去AA。
画面好美，很多单元都很感人。
后来这个老太太被人举报，警察也来过禁止她在公园停车场过夜，她只能去附近的小学，或者在山坡的拐角过夜。她在公园附近待了快大半年，每天都会从车子里抖出来装fast food的棕纸袋的垃圾。车后座是几乎她所有的家当，乱七八糟堆着也像垃圾。最近一直没有见过她了，但愿她还好。

EP.6-10 《浅草篇》
D- / 好久没看到过这么无趣的公路片了，摸不透素材选取的思路，采用线性叙事又放弃叙事逻辑而改用场景拼贴，剪辑叙事和摄像各行其道，而影像又空洞而缺乏表现力，因此填充的配乐甚是露怯，和马力克比也差太远。
习惯了流浪，便再也无法停下上路的脚步。整片给我一种忧郁的诗意，在西方式的框架下，却也蕴含着东方式的哲理。上路的勇气总要大过无房的恐惧，而家的意义就在寻找的路上。
