The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 安迪真的会因为这样一个电影而去买巴斯吗？很抱歉如果我是安迪，我真的不会。
谁能想到这竟然是真人真事改编的。退休老头偶然发现彩票漏洞后与妻子为大家谋福，而另一边，天才高中生却让彩票漏洞成全自己。看完后心中有个疑问:为何中国彩票漏洞还没人发现・_・?
220716有这技术就拍出这玩意？人物都太过弱智，强行降智强行讲道理强行煽情强行讲故事。比如一只机器猫为什么可以解决人类那么多年都没能够解决的燃料计算问题（虽然我很喜欢那只猫），而且这个结果居然只存在本地弄坏了电脑还不能修复？又比如经验丰富的太空游侠居然会在陌生星球上乱砍“植物”，还把武器随手就扔了；巴斯光年的队友居然是三个猪队友，真的没用的猪队友，就强行给他们找优点，而且就这几个人，居然打败了一大堆可以把一整个军队困住的机器人。还有为什么非得加一个黑人同性还能怀孕的设定。迪士尼的技术我还是很服的，大部分片段也都很棒，就是故事人物太差了，整体节奏还很快很乱，除了机器猫真没啥是看点了。
7.7 整体还不错，不过观影后看了下Cinemaholic关于WinFall奖金机制的解析，发现影片没有对关键的roll down机制进行足够的解释，有点遗憾。最大看点大概在于根据真实事件改编，系统性的通过lottery赚钱！

她说的那句我不同意，然后拉着她走进曾经自己害怕的幽闭空间，两人接吻。这是我看过最浪漫的爱情片段。
我真的很喜欢巴斯光年，但是这个故事没有我想象中的这么宏大………Toy中巴斯光年的人设更讨喜一些。
叙事不太行，很多都没讲清楚，题材是ok的，感觉可以拍的更好
尽管你可以说新意上不足，到这温暖又有趣同时又有表达不就是皮克斯的特点嘛，与时代接轨，领导者变为黑人女性，同时还是拉拉，然后的搭档女三代延续这个人设，不光衣服上有彩条，连超时空飞行拉出的光尾都画成了彩条。也讲时空穿越与平行宇宙。表达上既讲信念使命，个人价值。又讲团队合作，群体的理解包容配合，映射当下。片中全部埋的梗都给你圆上，同时还Q了玩具总动员1里巴斯光年高光时刻。看的人满足感爆棚。片尾有三彩蛋，先一个，出完字幕有俩个，最后一个应该表示还有后续……
感觉还不错的轻喜剧，剧情其实挺老套的，但是看得还挺开心，竟然还是真人真事改编的，这夫妻真的也是善良，赚了钱还带动大家实现共同富裕！
如何面对退休生活，如何与伴侣重新相处，如何面对天赋or个性带来的缺憾面，工整好看温馨，好怕中途被愣头青坑到。除此之外，一个富足的小镇真的是理想的居住地。
虽然不再是皮克斯的内核，缺少惊艳，套路满满，但是卖情怀还是有人买帐的，至少保留了同性情节，虽不能上映，也是胜利了
#Cinemania2021# 不知道为什么，观影过程中禁不住和The Worst Person In the World反复比较，再次确认女性导演approach类似的议题时果然态度和视角要自洽的多。Anaïs 的care-free mentality是这个时代最理想的urban feminist状态，几套look也很好capture了那个夏天的魅力。本来以为只是夏日的fling（Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi的气质太好了），没想到最后热情又被再次点燃，即使我们知道夏日总会过去，但那想要触到却又收回的动作和亲吻时微微闭上的眼眸却永远不会说谎。
是真的味同嚼蜡啊。难怪这电影连中文字幕都很难找。因为是真的很无趣。看了一下评论，确实大多数人也是因为主角是老白给好评的居多。
充满着亲情，温情和激情的片子。有幸以前在游戏里意外发现漏洞获利过，没想到现实里也有这种剧情并且还是善终……老白演技依然在线，看完后正能量满满😸
工作了一周之后看着会很开心的电影，总是羡慕比我聪明又人好的人
