The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 主题还不错，生活中的身份互换，但剧情一般般
这种电影实在太适合全家一起看，大人看怎么和老丈人搞好关系，小朋友看这个世界上没有绝对的对错。包括 坏蛋联盟 也是这样的道理。不评价这种价值观的对错，只是小朋友长大后要和全世界打交道的。
十年相聚银幕，一朝挥别青春。作为系列收官之作，当熟悉的角色再次聚首银幕时一起插科打诨共同冒险，这个情怀分也是拉满了～
杉咲花的角色的出场，让我觉得第二季的木村文乃的人设也没那么不讨喜了。看似整个案件扑朔迷离，但从一开始的犯案与动机就站不住脚，后面居然也能变成冤案...（西岛秀俊演得不错，道枝骏佑就emmmm
终于应该算是这个系列的完结篇了，毕竟孩子也有了，德古拉岳父也看人类女婿顺眼了，最后连精灵旅社都给了女婿和女儿继承，再不结束，也实在说不过去了！

以后再出第三季我也不会看了，新拍的电影和sp是不是太过离谱了一点？这个案子居然还搞了两次大型现场还原，我真的是尬得不行了。而且在这一部所有人都演的不突出的情况下道枝的表演还能差得突出我也是没想到......
好好笑啊，这些村民一定很爱研究电车问题吧，以为用一个人换多个人的生命是正义的。但是生命不该是按数量来算的，为了两个人的命，让一个无辜的人枉死才是邪恶。ps. 女主角实在太烦了，让本就难看的这作电影版变得更难看了，nana出场说五秒钟台词都能完爆她。
剧情中规中矩的家庭戏份，没有上一集出彩。整体的制作还是很OK的～ 下饭可看
果然电影版就是要一家人整整齐齐，就是冷笑话是真的真的真的不要再粉红老夫妻那样笑了。最后给我michi多加一星。
最后也有点牵强吧
一直是《精灵旅社》的粉丝，但是这一部真的很疲软了。笑料依旧，小男主依旧惹人烦，可是最大的问题，在于创意不足。没有新角色，甚至没有新萌物，简单的身份对调，套路又没有深度，完全没有惊喜，可以当做无事发生。
弟弟也太皮太可爱了吧www 香川叔真是活宝XD 奈奈出现好评！（三星半）

按日剧SP的标准还行，毕竟TV版的质量摆在这里，几名主角夸张到脱离现实的表演如果习惯了，还是很欢乐的。另外本次的案件在诡计、逆转甚至社会意义上都算是优秀。但如果是按剧场版的标准，虽然全员回归，但挂羊头卖狗肉的嫌疑太大，包括前两代女主奈奈和文乃都只是打酱油；SP塑造的劲敌南云律师，竟然变成了一普普通通的依赖人，万众期待的法庭辩论也因为剧情原因而几乎没有了，实在非常令人遗憾……
有些动画真的不需要续集了…除了第一部后面的剧情好像完全都不记得了。每次看这种大杂烩乱嗨为了续集而续集的动画，都会恨自己，为什么不能绝情一点弃了算了…
片子太短了，内涵有点象征了保守派和激将派两个派别的争斗，只不过激动派有点脑子神经…最终随着时代的潮流，保守派必定会消失，经女婿之手，从此再无精灵旅社。
还是很喜欢marivs，那么可爱的女生，而且她喜欢的那个他，就是原原本本的那个人，不需要变成monster
