The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 那个发生在夏天的故事，它在夏天还没结束的时候就结束了。两个等待进入大学校园的男孩，一样等待HIV检测结果，也许是同理心的作用，能为对方完美补上还未说出口的词，阳光，海滩，游乐园，爆米花，注定能氤氲一段假期crush。戳爷演技有点厉害，剧情很直线，亲情的铺垫与提点也没有抢戏，宗教的约束透过妈妈对Caleb的敬而远之来呈现，似乎婉转，又似乎更残忍。果然是21世纪10年代的设定，大环境看起来友好很多，也许无论有多少龃龉，世界总是向好而行吧。
明明有104分钟长却感觉像是看了一部二十分钟的短片，好水的剧情…
