The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 它在有限的演员身上安放两三个角色，配合简单的道具，从而塑造不同的群像，搭建出丰富的场景，但又并不让观众觉得混乱，很多简单的转场效果极佳。

一群高矮胖瘦、黑、白、有色，看上去就是日常中极其普通的中老年人，在舞台上又唱又跳整出一台戏，突然想起在自家小区楼下，看跳广场舞的大爷大妈们。感觉哪里怪怪的……
911事件导致的连锁反应，人与人在危难之中的互助充分反映了人性光芒，政治立场就不太好评价了，毕竟是美国主旋律舞台剧。

对美国人而言，911当然是一场悲剧。而对美国以外的人而言，911的意义则要复杂得多。它可以是分流与冲突的开端，也可以是对团结的提醒和呼唤——具体相信哪个，我们可以自己选。

感染力太强了，好好看，好好听，好好哭啊😭女机长的solo无论从音乐还是唱功都是完美的！讲述了如此悲痛的题材，但令人哭得情难自禁的时刻却不是因为单纯的悲伤，而是在音乐和演员表演的渲染下百感交集的心潮澎湃……真的太棒了！你永远可以相信音乐剧！！！
