A quick glimpse at the cast for this film would make any horror fan giddy with glee. The actual movie doesn't live up to those high expectations, but it's far from being all bad. Desi Arnaz Jr. (!) plays an author who makes a crazy $20,000 bet with his publisher that he could write a great novel in only 24 hours. To do so, the publisher gives him the keys to an old abandoned house where he won't be disturbed. Not true. Once he gets there he is interrupted by a multitude of guests including a family which consists of John Carradine, Sheila Keith, Peter Cushing and Vincent Price. They are gathered there in a twisted family reunion to release their brother from the room he's been imprisoned in for forty years. Even Christopher Lee drops by as Corrigan, the man who has just purchased the house. Soon, they realize that the caged brother is loose and out for revenge.
What a great plotline and what a dream cast! This movie should have been a hell of a lot better. It's hard to pinpoint the exact problems with the film, but I would venture to say that the lack of lighting was a major fault. Sure the house has no electricity but I think they took the title of the movie a little too literally. Scenes after scenes are barely visible and the actors' faces are undecipherable. Only the moments in the main dinning hall are well lit. Also, the great actors are given very little to do. Cushing gets a few chuckles as the scared brother but Price, Lee and especially Carradine are somewhat wasted here. Well, at least Price gets the best line of the film: `Please don't interrupt me while I am soliloquizing.' And on the plus side, the story has enough twists and turns throughout to keep one`s interest and the ending, while a bit of a cop-out, manages to surprise.

歌单躁郁情，metal gayness探讨，挺暖挺甜就是不metal啊，skullf$cker变成skullflower还能再挫一点吗？虽然最后歌是挺燃……《权利游戏》编剧的烂剧本没有金属魂，和芬兰那部《重金属囧途》有着灵魂上的差距
小朋友们演的还不错，懂heavy metal的会有各种OG致敬，不懂的当知识扫盲，也许也会爱上。
反正就嗨呗。每次看这种片都为自己校园时期没疯一把感到遗憾。
对真实事件的添油加醋，反而没有反映出真实世界的残酷
很一般的人质挟持枪战电影。片中警不像警，匪不像匪，人质，，也不像人质。。
看完《摇滚校园》，再看这个，内核大同小异，没啥感觉，男主真他妈的作！反抗就跟小孩过家家一样，喊喊口号，语不惊人死不休！不过我们连他们一半的勇气都没有！
对heavy metal无感的我还是来看了…不疯魔不成活因为热爱所以偏执！！一直都好喜欢大提琴的音色，没想到能在heavy metal里听到，创意满分毫无违和哈哈哈哈古典和重金的完美碰撞💥乐队鼓手都很帅！女主好古典的长相。剧情比较显而易见都能猜到毫无悬念，最后一刻让我等的好苦啊哈哈哈skull flower笑岔气了机智大波浪妹！波浪妹最后cello帅死了
一直不太喜欢极端重金属，太吵，然而本片也算是为我好好普及了这个冷门音乐品种。原以为是成长类的影片，预赛，半决赛，决赛，主角封顶那种，结果只有一首歌就结束了，当然非常shock，艾米丽拿着大提琴出场惊艳全场，可惜歌曲实在太少啦！
以为是个剧，没想到是是电影。但是看起来也的确像剧…情节平庸/狗血，但因为是金属，所以不会烦。
这几年看过的有关“重金属音乐”的电影，还是喜欢《重金属囧途》和《劣迹斑斑》。只有主唱和鼓手的乐队打算找个贝斯手。主唱强势且缺爱，鼓手懦弱而缺钱。他们认识一个会突然暴走（没注意是什么病）的大提琴女孩，主唱认为女孩不够“重金属”，鼓手则很喜欢女孩。于是主唱认为鼓手背叛了友谊和“重金属”，鼓手则认为主唱自私且不懂为人处世。最后当然是争吵后会和好，经历后才会成长。不仅乐队组成后取得了好成绩，而且三个人都更成熟了。有关音乐的青春成长电影，略套路，无惊喜。
配角真的更好看，但是主角的确更具有辨识度。
这都哪找的小哥哥，但凡台词超过五句的都好好看。只可惜比赛的歌真不行，实在不是老派（？）重金的受众。青春期中二病就是讲究象征大于意义，那种台词儿是怎么正经念出来的233
哈哈哈哈，谁说玩重金属就要血腥暴力，要嗑药要堕落？咱就是说，音乐是音乐，该走正途还是得走正途。
这几年唯一好的金属题材电影只有the dirt，其他的无非是消遣这个文化符号。
一部中二氣質爆棚的音樂青春片。雖然他們樂隊的經歴比大多樂隊的經歴幹凈多了，沒有吸毒，沒有亂搞，但他們還是有搞砸一切的能力，幸好迷途知返，泳池四大前輩出來勸男主別當渣男的那段真是笑死我了。這不太像是金屬的反抗，倒像是青春期的反抗。年輕是真好啊，可以為了自己喜歡的東西不顧一切，友誼也會堅如磐石。

The price for freedom is everything. 开头像一般的动作片，后面升华成为自由而战，引人思考的一部片子，但是不懂为什么要让克莉丝汀被误杀
说不上来的一般，都不能说还行……
