The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 故事线衔接第一部，又引入了两个CG角色，剧情上也向超英片方向发展，索尼克为保护王者翡翠不落入蛋头博士的手里，化身超级英雄保护地球。
角色多，所以看着比上部似乎热闹些，但还是好尬好无聊，大场面都在最后2段戏。上一部非常出彩的金凯瑞这一部就一般般了。
