The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 预料中的年度群戏。这角色也太适合Mark Rylance了，跟一群男子混在一起，可以发脾气，教训人，还有点神经兮兮的。

本来就是场荒唐的审判，大篇幅的法庭戏一点也不枯燥，金句频出，很燃。对萨莎·拜伦·科恩刮目相看，Abbie这个人物和他很像，看似玩世不恭，却活得很清醒。

本部电影的人物刻画从这一点来看，仍然有不足之处，挖掘得不够透彻，而法庭上的冲撞对决，插科打诨，很难说会有多少精彩之处。
“我们要和平进入芝加哥，不管允不允许我们去，反正我们来了”“我们不会开着坦克带着催泪剂冲进（民主党）大会现场，但我们会冲进美国人的内心与思想”-----国会山骚乱后来看这部片子实在太他妈的讽刺。什么时候后有人拍一部《国会山七君子》？牛角人Jake Angeli你一定来当主角啊，还有还有在白圣母办公室翘脚的毕哥，你们也会永垂不朽！
电影表现方式能激荡人心。而故事本身再一次证明百无一用是书生，情绪不稳，易被煽动
“Do you have contempt for your government? (你是否蔑视你的政府)” - "It's nothing compared to the contempt my government has for me.(与我的政府对我的蔑视相比, 我的蔑视不值一提)” | 这个时间点上映真是太应景了，整个2020魔幻一年啊，如果当选最佳是不是也太表明奥斯卡态度了？虽然感觉奥斯卡也没在怕的。最后一幕太鸡血其实有点莫名。
