The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 并不觉得这个改编有什么不妥。无论古代当代，女性情感生活的困扰其实都一样。奥斯汀的最后一部小说，但现在都21世纪了，能换个口味去演绎这个悲伤故事也蛮不错，其中也渗出了不少奥斯汀式的幽默和讽刺。
这剧情编得实在勉强，非要强行让一群人遭到劫难的赶脚。好好地让人家生活不行吗？
为什么最后读信的时候还要对着观众说话啊！最煽情的地方变得好出戏。
纵然有些缺陷，但也不失为一部算是新颖的改编。

特意goo了一下意大利托斯卡纳Toscana大区，在靴子的中前部，首府是佛罗伦萨。该地区似乎是欧美中年白人消解中年危机的热门目的地，不论男女。本片是男版故事，但男主和意大利本地黑发女主颜值都太低，不养眼，情节俗套也很难令人信服，除了风景和美食可看下，不能令人印象深刻。

将近两个小时近乎煎熬，女主像是从现代穿越过去用不标准的英音在讲旁白，整部剧就是很违和。美国人请远离简奥斯丁，丝到普丝到普！
比 A Good Year 差一截。有意大利和美食这两个元素本应该是全垒打才是。
