The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? everybody has their inner fear or problems. perhaps a better way to deal with them is to accept them, make room for them, translate them, and live with them. life isn't perfect, so is every one of us. to be a perfect self is illusory and will only drive us to the abyss we set. accept who we are, good or bad, with no judgment. love and peace can be found in the present and the present is the best moment.

5/10。前有纽约女孩养大红狗，后有华裔女孩变小熊猫。又萌又闹腾，东方式家长的控制欲被无限放大，阻止去看演唱会而毁了足球场，明知是动画的夸张但就是不舒服，这个问题和短片《包宝宝》是一样的。最后的落脚点是卖熊猫玩偶。
对于“东亚祖传控制欲”化解轻巧如同慈善广告。
这部片子估计男女之间打分差异会较大，因为里面所讲的母女关系、女孩成长、闺蜜情谊都是非常微妙且独特的，也只有女性才能更有体会吧，否则看起来就是一部青春励志卡通片。并且导演把这些点处理得很符合动画片的形式，纵然里面的母亲对女儿有很多管控过度的错误行为，但片子并没有采取批判的方式，而是通过母亲暴走之后露出脆弱的一面，让女儿和母亲之间身份互换完成双方的成长，这是最赞的一点！我自己也有一个这样的母亲，因此也塑造了追求完美的我，希望我也能释放出自己的小熊猫，与它和平共处。
太过中式典型到近乎令人不适的程度。srds谁能拒绝毛茸茸的小熊猫呢！

把两代人、两种文化之间的冲突与和解拍得很巧妙、很完整。
